Why is there a microbiome toothpaste and a prophylactic care gel?
Both products complement each other to form a holistic care concept – prevention instead of mere symptom treatment.
The microbiome toothpaste is the basic daily care. It relies on a microbiome-friendly approach: instead of killing bacteria nonspecifically, the patented PerioTrap® technology specifically reduces the virulence of periodontopathogenic germs such as Porphyromonas gingivalis. The beneficial bacteria of the oral microbiome are preserved and help to limit the growth of harmful germs.
The prophylaxis care gel is the complementary intensive care for regular prophylaxis after brushing. It strengthens the tooth enamel (fluoride), soothes the gums (bisabolol), and ensures a smooth, cared-for feeling (carmellose) – protective shields for tooth hard tissue and gums.
In short: The toothpaste provides daily microbiome-friendly care, while the gel regularly provides additional protective and nourishing impulses.
How exactly does the PerioTrap® technology work?
The technology specifically blocks the virulence of harmful bacteria – in particular P. gingivalis, a primary cause of gum inflammation. In the process, the healthy microbiome is preserved and can maintain its natural protective function.
Does the toothpaste also protect against periodontitis and gingivitis?
Yes, it actively supports gum health. By specifically blocking harmful bacteria and through its soothing ingredients, the risk of gingivitis and periodontal stress is reduced.
Is this toothpaste suitable for sensitive teeth and irritated gums?
Yes. It contains gentle ingredients such as Spherilex™, which seal dentinal tubules and reduce sensitivity, as well as bisabolol, which soothes irritated gums.
Are both products microbiome-friendly, vegan, and free from unnecessary additives?
Yes, both products are microbiome-friendly, free from aggressive antibacterial substances, and contain only ingredients with a clear function. They are also vegan and contain no unnecessary additives.

Shipping costs within Germany are €4.95 (free on orders over €49), €6.99 to Austria (free on orders over €69), and 11.99 CHF to Switzerland (free on orders over 84 CHF), all including VAT. Delivery time is usually 3–5 working days to Germany, 5–7 working days to Austria, and 7–10 working days to Switzerland.
